Difference between equivalent or identical products:
Equivalent products: Product equivalences allow groupings based on the hazards of the products.
Identical products: Identical products allow for the declaration of an alternative product, having a composition similar to the reference product.
Equivalent products
To create a product equivalence:
– Applications Menu > Chemical Products > Risk Analysis > Equivalent Products > Create
In the New Product Equivalence form:
1. Group: Select the relevant group
2. Activity: Select the relevant activity
At this stage, it is possible to create a new activity by clicking on
3. Designation: Name the equivalence
4. Reference Product:
Select the desired product using the assisted input: enter the first few letters of its name to get a list of suggestions.
5. Equivalences:
Select the desired product using the assisted input: enter the first few letters of its name to get a list of suggestions.
It appears associated with a pre-checked box.
Multiple equivalent products can be selected for the same product.
It is possible to remove a product from the selection by simply unchecking the associated box.
6. Save
The equivalence appears in the list.
View the equivalences
To access the Product Equivalence List:
– Applications Menu > Chemical Products > Risk Analysis > Equivalent Products
Creating an equivalence displays the pictograms and hazard scores of each selected product to control the equivalence of hazards.
Duplicate an existing equivalence
It can be useful to duplicate an equivalence to apply it to other groups or activities.
1. Click on the action Duplicate of the equivalence to open it in the panel.
2. Select the new group or the new activity from the dropdown lists.
3. Save
The new equivalence has been added to the list.
